We hope you like it... this redesign as you all know took MONTHS to complete and many many man hours for the two of us... especially Chris(the developer). There were many trials when doing this as we suffered from frustrating nights where we thought things were not possible, many safe mode crashes and firmware updates, that complicated the update process. But in the end we have the product that we envisioned! On Sunday we will be releasing our BETA1, which will be available to all iRealSMS 2.0 licensed customers... your license should transfer over to a 3.0 license automatically.

NOTE: The beta is only accessible to users that made their purchases via the Cydia installed application or the iRealSMS website...
users of the RockApp version of iRealSMS 2.0 do not have access due to the fact that RockApp uses their own licensing system which is not compatible with ours or vice versa... so our servers have no way to verify a RockApp purchase. And since RockApp does not host beta software, we cannot make a beta version for RockApp users. But when the official version is released it will be available to RockApp users as a free upgrade as well as Cydia users.

And yes iRealSMS 3.0 is FULLY MMS SUPPORTED! (for those who have it avalible already in their messages app) In the main app, and in the QuickReply/QuickSend !!

FYI: iRealQuickSMS will get an update, but not till the iRealSMS 3.0 is complete.. please note that iRealQuickSMS will primarily be bug fixes as many things will be exclusive to the main app iRealSMS 3.0.

I'll answer your questions, but I'll for the most part just let the screen shots speak for themselves.
We will start with the main app.

Timestamps can be seen by either selecting VIEW on the copy/paste submenu or by selecting EDIT while in conversations you can see timestamps for all messages.





NOW OUR NEW QUICKREPLY / QUICKSEND !!
QuickSend now uses the same search parameters as the messages app... you have TOTAL access to your contacts list, both phone numbers and email addresses... so if you want to send a QuickSend to an email address... DO IT !! This has all kinds of benifeits! If someone it texting you from their computer via their email, then you can hold an online conversation from your quickreply!


Note: you cannot take new pictures via the QuickReply/QuickSend, but you can access your pictures album/camera roll to attach images.

THATS RIGHT!! CONTACT PICTURES IN QUICKREPLY!
Others said it could not be done! Others said there just was not enough room! But they said Landscape QuickReply/QuickSend was impossible on the Springboard too! We proved them wrong again!

one question, did you fix the contact field where it would only erase 1 character at a time when you use the delete button

Looks beautiful.. Um... so have we lost the 'see lots of lines at once' reply field in Conversation mode? I did like having more text real estate when writing longer messages. Not iPhone-like, though, I know



(Now I'm just waiting for kennytm to resurface and fix ikeyex in OS 3.1.2, so we can have iRealSMS with 5-row keyboard, which is a bloody great combination...)

The Folders are shown in the Screens yes, but how looks it when you open a SMS in the "Standard" Mode to read?
Is it the same like in iReal 2.0?
I hate this conversation Mode, it is horrible.

1. Will we still have the status bar touch options?

2. Will the sms display in the order they were received? 2.0 shows them as latest to earliest. It should be the other way around.

I have to agree with sysrage. Hold off on the questions til you have the beta.

I think the way Rez had it is perfect. It does show SMS latest to earliest, but now you are no longer interrupted while typing a quickreply/quick send -- which solves our problem right there!
